The school for social entrepreneurship

Center for social entrepreneurship development Hub 22 from Mostar started the implementation of The school for social entrepreneurship, with the support of The Embassy of the Unites States of America, in the premises of Youth club 'Under the same sun' on 14 and 15 November 2016.

On the first day of the School for social entrepreneurship, the concept and importance of social entrepreneurship was explained in detail in the contex of today's economy to participants.

Round table and panel discussion was organized on the topic How young people can become social entrepreneurs, and Amar Maksumić and Toni Kolar, young entrepreneurs who had the opportunity to successfully implement their business ideas through the school for social entrepreneurship in Mostar, addressed the participants.

As part of the panel discussion, there was talk of the sharing economy and how to use local potentials.

On the second day of the School for social entrepreneurship, the workshop was organized on topic 'Idea factory and turning a social problem into a business model'.

Participants were divided into teams, that were assigned various social problems for which they found solutions together with the help of brainstorming methods. After that, they started working on building nine blocks of a business model, which facilitated and concretized the business venture. Various methods of market research were presented to participants of the workshop, where they had the opportunity to assess the value of their business idea in a simple way.

Upon completion of the workshop and the second day of the School for social entrepreneurship, all participants were awarded certificates of participation in the school, and after that socializing was organized in the premises of Youth club 'Under the same sun'.
